Hi,
It is possible to make trades on your own without brokers that is through SIP and opening an De-mat account for making trades. But this can work if you have enough of trading experience and aware of the risks involved in the market.
There are some brokers also that provides reliable trading services and you can invest through these brokers also. Like http://www.finexo.com, http://fxguiding.com/ and http://brokeragefxtoday.com/ for any trading assistance.

I opened a demo account with this site: http://homegear.com/r/?q=23126084&r=2116 That way I could practice Forex trading without actually having to deposit any real money. It might be a good idea to try the software first so you can see if this is something you want to pursue.

There are many good forex brokers, i would not like to say any name of them, but you can search in Google search engine also, take help of Google, so that you can find some gud brokers.

Hi there, i personally use IBFX and i think they are ok. Most importantly choose one that is reputable and regulated.
