If by your question, you were asking the latter, then I would suggest that you avoid looking to automate your trading. One of the question posed within Yahoo! Answers last week specifically addressed Forex Robots; i.e. which Forex Robot guaranteed returns; and all I can say is that Forex trading is not as simple as that. It takes time and effort to learn to trade FX, and any decision to adopt an automated FX Robot system will almost certainly end in tears… As I mentioned in the answer to that question, if it were as simple as using an algorithm to trade, someone would already have identified the perfect tool, and everyone would be rich!

If on the other hand, you were enquiring about the former, then I would suggest that your trading system should be something which you develop on your own; a system which specifically complements your unique trading styles and techniques. The trading systems which people develop for their own trading are typically built using a range of technical indicators. How traders combine both these indicators; and the pricing patterns which they produce; will ultimately vary, and the production of a trading system which works for you is very much a case of trial and error.

If you are comparatively new to FX trading and you are looking to develop a system for your own trading, then I would suggest firstly familiarizing yourself with both technical indicators, and pricing patterns. Once you are aware of how these can be employed to identify trade entry signals, you will be able to incorporate them into a system which helps you to produce basic forecasts about currency pair movements.
