The USD/JPY is trading now at about 80.4900 so how much would it cost me to buy 3000 shares of that currency? Also how much money am i required to have to day trade Forex? Because i know you need like 20 grand to day trade stocks. I have been trading stocks now for a couple months and i have a good trading strategy down using MA stochastic and a couple other indicators but will they still be effective in forex trading? Thank You

There is no minimum to day trade Forex, except the minimum deposit set by your broker (usually $100 to $2000). There are also no restrictions on shorting.

Forex trades in terms of lots, or notional value. And how much you can buy depends on your account type and leverage. In the US, the maximum leverage is 50:1. So, if you buy 1 mini lot of USD/JPY, you would be shorting 10,000 dollars worth of Yen, and that would cost you 1/50 of that amount, which is $200 of margin. Each pip, or 0.01 movement, would gain or lose approximately $1 depending on the currency.

As another example, if you buy one mini lot of GBP/USD, you’d be buying 10,000 dollars worth of GBP, and each pip would be a movement of 0.0001, which would still gain or lose $1.

Honestly, if you’re successful in the stock market, I would stay there. But it wouldn’t hurt to try Forex on a free demo account. Forex is cheaper to trade, and doesn’t have bear markets in the same sense as the stock market. But it’s also much more volatile.

NDA had the support of all above including Madam.Mamta’sTMC,and raised the slogan seeing the People of India with the able supportive State Governments , and flowing Forex thru Manpower import to various countries realised and exclaimed ”India shining ”, and that Foundations only making UPA1,2 could do face saving Admin, that too with DMK and TMC Support, but Cong High command has no role for this growth as their own Regional Leaders, cadres were sidelined by keeping Retired RBI Governors, Election commission, IAS, IFS, Judiciary too and such a Pity is the workers of cong even today.

Alert News – IOC Indian oil corpn wants Rs.40,000 cr. subsidies from Govt of India in cash, so CAG, and CVC Dept to have watch as the money shud not go to ……….

Now also same NDA with BJP taking Hon’ry Posts like President, V.P, Governors, Speaker and allow NDA to have Left Parties also so that the 3rd front donot emerge and Cong will go for ever, as even this 1, 2 Electronic voting machines roled not ruled out after the finding of A.P’s Technocrat to whom USA acknowledged with a reward is a proof to remember.

Why BJP’s broadmindnedness is needed because Cong always wins the arguement showing BJP, leaving the excellent works of Regional Parties.

Atleast next 5 years we can see Customs, Excise duties on crude oil is removed by Non Cong, and make the slogan ” India shining” as ever green.

Mrs.Priyanka Gandhi is suddenly brought in to after failure of Mr.Rahul Gandhi means Cong has to answer ” How Priyanka went to Tamilnadu and met Rajiv’s assasin Group Mrs.Nalini and T.N. Govt Permitted, leave alone Home Ministry of India, after Nalini’s announcement of wring Autobiography”?.

Today’s sadest Massacre by Maoist on Police cops, P.M. of India is answerable as he only prevented allowing Airstrikes on Terror causers for reasons known to him and Cong High command.

Only 2 Front strtegy can stop Congress.

If UPA 1,2 is such Transparent as claimed in Dinner why People like Anna Hazare, Madam Kiran Bedi should do fasts as both of them have enough to Live for their livelihood.

Am I right and alert giving ? Iam not against Congress, but Congress High command with their innocent cadre support, wants to make People of India shed blood each day , which is making me fear for the future of India.

all that can be done is inclusion of more transparency by governing bodies, which as a fact can’t be done by the current govt. at the center. The opposition too has internal troubles and is not as strong as it was in the last decade.
All that is needed is a revolution by the lazy desis of India.
A party like the then Janata Party of the 80′s is required, good alliance partners are required for NDA to strengthen itself, all the previous alliance partners have turned thair plates to UPA in wake of Money.
If CONgress is capable of making the mother of all scams- the 2G scam and also the infamous Bofors scam, it can also make the father of all scams in the coming years, if it is voted to power again.
Neither the CONgress nor the BJP which is getting weaker by the day can save this country.
As I said before NDA should get more allies like JD(U) who are not money mongers to establish itself and therefore pave a way towards India’s development.

ok this is regarding the forex market.ive read a lot about how forex brokers dont like theyre clients winning so much from proffesional investors..but they never say why.a person who keeps on winning will likely build their capital and probably trade at a greater volume. this greater volume will give the brokers a bigger cut of money due to the bid/ask spread……so why dont they like this then.does it cost them a lot to procces the transaction or something…any opinions would be appreciated

A broker in the strictest sense is someone who arranges transactions between a buyer and a seller and gets a commission when the deal is executed. The more you are trading, the more you are paying. So they don’t really care whether you are winning or not, just so long as you are constantly placing trades. However, unless you have superior trading abilities, the more you trade the more money your going to loose, thus you will tend to loose as brokers win.

However I believe you may be referring to spread betting??? Such companies are not market makers, they agree to be on the opposite side of your bet. If your making money, they are paying out and visa versa.

Dealer market makers do hold assets in-between trades. The spread you pay is to take into account the volatility of the asset. It is to account for the risk that the asset price may go against the market maker during the period in which they hold the asset. So i guess the market maker would hope for you to sell them the asset immediately before a market rise and subsequently buy the asset from them immediately before a market fall.
