The ideal broker would have variable spreads, no slippage, no blackouts or re-quotes. In addition to that I am also looking for one that would allow me to trade Gold, Silver, and Oil. Thanks in advance!
Hahha, I am a Forex trader. Of course, I would recommend Citigroup, but there are numerous good brokerages. Goldman, Morgan Stanley and Lehman are all very good. If I were you I would pick one that is convenient for you. All brokerages tend to charge the same commissions. There really is no difference. As far as investing in gold as of right now…..stick to shares of Apple. Dollar is viewed as pessimistic right now..but remember that the ideal time to invest is when everyone is scared!!!!
I have been studying forex for a few weeks now and something that still buggs me and to which i can’t find an answer is the following.
Other than the famous Soros, i don’t know if any uber rich guy that made his fortune in the Forex market. By uber rich i mean a billionaire, but “just” knowing of a few multimillionaires who run some Forex investing fund would be enough. Maybe i haven’t searched enough, but i can’t find anything about it.
I know if super rich people who made it through businesses (obviously), trading stocks, options, futures, but not one single forex trader (who made his fortune primarily through it; mentioning how Buffet invests in currencies now and then doesn’t count).
Why is it? And then i see all the supposed big shots in the Forex investing area, and they all became speakers, or working for companies, or became “miracle forex programs” sellers. They seldom mention how much they actually made through forex.
Can anybody name some well-known Forex investors?
That's because most people lose money currency trading.
That is just the facts.
There are prob more people posting ad links to forex hype websites than their are real forex traders.
Remember, Soros made his money in one single year (1992), and he didn't do it with a couple grand, and he has not been able to replicate his own success in 16 years.
hello people , ive started forex trading and even done a course on it . i use fxcm and my style of trading technial on 5 minute charts with 30 pip stop loss and even if i can consistently make 20 pips a day id be happy. it looks workable but ive been using fxcm for some time now and have heard that they are stop hunters, is this true? which is the best and reliable online broker ? which is the best tech. indicator on 5 minute charts or best combination of tech indicators? final question are any of you fx traders living in dubai , if so id like to look and meet them to exchange ideas. thanks appreciate the help.
There are thousands of online trading brokers available. I could not recommend anything which i have not used or verified. As most of them are found to be scam. I am using Finexo last 2 years and never encountered any problem. It is a reliable broker and provides timely updates and tips. i thoroughly use the technical charts as being a day trader. It provides all type of charts without any delay in currency quotes. I am earning avg 12% monthly return which is quite satisfying for me.
The best things i like about Finexo is :
1. Leverage ratio: 1:200 which is quite manageable as high leverage will lead to greater pressure on traders.
2. Rolling charges are quite low compared to other platforms. Also they charge different rates depending on gaining or losing position which is good for traders.
3. Easy deposit and withdrawal facilities.
4. Great fund managers controlling my accounts very well, specially when i am out of trading for some days.
5. 24hr customer services available. can have live chats directly through Finexo sites.
6. at the last, Very well timed forex alerts and tips in order to derive profit through those news.
Can anyway suggest to me a book that has a little bit of everything within the world of Wall Street and finance. A little bit about stocks, bonds, forex, history, techniques, careers, etc.
Sorry I do not know any books that cover it all but I can suggest a couple of websites that will help you to learn the forex market. I would suggest http://www.babypips.com and http://www.yourforexinvestor.com . Give these a shot for starters.

Hi,
I was looking into the forex trading market and I was wondering which online trading site is the best and has the smallest minimum deposit and is trust worthy. is there any forex sites that accepts payments from other countries other than the US. I reside in India and so having a bank account in the US will be a problem, since paypal will not work for me either if I want to withdraw money from there.
I looked into fxcm.com and it has a minimum deposit of 300$ US and forex.com has a minimum deposit of 250$ US for the mini account and avafx.com has 100$ US minimum is there any other good site? also it should show results in real time.
Thanks.
