I've opened an account on GFT, but when trading the news there is a huge slippage between the stop buy price I wanted & the execution price. GFT has a dealing desk.
So, what are the best forex brokers for trading the news ?
    Thank you !

For accurate and reliable market tips and daily updates Finexo is the best. Many of my friends suggested me this when i was a newbie in Forex trading. Since then my dealer is providing me with the most accurate tips, market updates and charts so that i can make optimum use of these. It has fetched me 99% of returns on my investment.

Many other qualities like user friendly platform, easy forex glossary, well managed accounts, charts and economic calender have made Finexo unique.

I am interested in trying this. Can you recommend a good training program and/or software? Do you need a lot of money up front to begin?

There are many-many advantages over the various other ways of investing. First of all it is a 24 hr market, except for weekends of course. You have the US market then the European and then the Asian. One of the great times to trade is during the over lapping periods. The USA and European overlap between 5am & 9am eastern and the Euro & Asian between 11pm to 1am eastern. It’s usually the busiest time and best to trade.

There is also the risk factor for the accounts. With futures and options you can get margin calls that can wipe you out. If you get caught in a bad trade not only do you lose the money in the account but you may have to come up with a lot more from your pocket. It can be very risking, but not in Forex. Worst case scenario you could lose what’s in you account. But you would have to do something really stupid. Like making a big trade on a Fundamental day and leave it alone. If market takes a bad move and you weren't there. OOOPS. But that wouldn't happen with a smart trader.

Then there are the demo accounts which are an account where you can trade using all the right things, platform, charts, and information. But you are using play money, or what we call paper trading too. Plus with Forex you have a mini account. Instead of needing thousands of dollars to get into it, you can open an account with as little as $300.00. Now of course you will be trading at 1 tenth of a trade. IN other words you controlling 10,000 instead of 100,000.00 these are call lots. Which also means you will only risk 1 tenth too!

So if you would love to learn to do investing and not have near the risk you really need to take a closer look at Forex trading.

Investing in foreign currencies is a relatively new avenue of investing. There are considerably fewer people are aware of this market than there are people aware of several other avenues of investing. Trading foreign currency, also known as Forex, is the most lucrative investment market that exists. There are several factors that make this true among which, successful Forex traders earn realistic profits of one hundred plus percent each month. Compared to some of the better known investment markets such as corporate stocks, this is an unheard of return on investment. It's very necessary to mention here that a person who invests in Forex must, without exception, make it a point to learn the detailed, but simple strategies and information surrounding the market. This very fact is what makes the difference between successful Forex traders and other traders.

I like Oanda for a starting broker because you can trade with as little as 1 cent a pip on the line, of course youll only be making 1 cent a pip. then as you improve you can step it up a penny or a dime or what ever.
The only bad thing about them is 50:1 leverage and there spread gets very wide during news times.

I also agree with babypips good site.

a short but very good ebook

Use Oanda as a demo account. It doesn't expire so you will have as long as you need to practice.

is there a broker out there that allows me to trade options …forex…stocks…and commodities?

I use interbankfx with the MetaTrader 4 interface. They give 2 pip spread on the EUR/USD and the best swap rates, at least for me. I'm signed up under FreedomRocks, so we get institutional swap rates. If you're interested in trading forex, you should really check it out. I lost my A$$ before I found this trading system. Their website is www.freedomrocks.com/information that's /information. You can contact me directly if you have any other questions by email, phone or IM. My advice is free, and I have done a lot of research on forex.

I was trying to place in update panel dotnetcharing's chart but it give error

Can't you just use the AJAX timer control and pass a chart variables for it coordinates at set times in the timer? I'm assuming you're grabbing the numbers from a web service or database. Any chart should be able to be updated doing that. Place it in an AJAX update panel or evaluate a AJAX graphing program.

I’ve been into forex as part of my training in trading, and man has the dollar gone through the roof (in a good way) over the past two weeks, and even moreso today as it trucked through huge support and resistance levels developed over months and years!

My initial take is lower oil, higher stocks. Also, I imagine a respectable dollar will begin to attract more foreign investors, who don’t need to pay capital gains taxes on our securities. However, matching the oil index with the S&P didn’t really show much of a correlation.

What does this mean to the market?

Thanks for your help! Exciting stuff!
I meant that the dollar is strengthening at an unbelievable pace. The war is a very good point though. Nothing like solving a problem of money leaving the country like doing it with a few spare trillion.
What is your take on the strengthening of the dollar?

The main problem is the war. The war is costing us so much, in addition to the various bail-outs, that the government has been forced to flood the economy with Dollars to pay for its bills. More Dollars means that the ones you have are worth less, and when yours are worth less commodities such as oil and gold go up. The Republicans in their obsession with low taxes and high spending have debased the currency…and is only going to get worse.
